I solved a cold case. Not many marketers can say that.

My career started in journalism, covering crime and local government for a suite of weekly newspapers in my home state of South Carolina. Within a few years I had a front page byline, was a fixture at city council meetings and crime scenes and had launched an investigative cold case series that ultimately led to solving a 20-year-old murder.

I also covered the Loris Bog Off, a festival celebrating a southern chicken and rice dish. Range is range.
